Don't let the #1 Cause of Divorce Ruin You Marriage

How to Fix a Broken Marriage God's Way?

To fix a broken marriage God’s way, it is essential to prioritize your relationship with God, practice accountability, show patience and grace, and embrace selflessness.

These principles, when applied consistently, can restore harmony and love to your marriage.

God designed marriage.

What has He said about who spouses should be in marriage?

Start here.

First and foremost, seek God’s help in healing your broken marriage.

Turn to Him in prayer and ask for His guidance, wisdom, and intervention.

By surrendering your marriage to God, you invite His divine intervention and allow Him to work in your relationship.

In addition to seeking God’s help, it is crucial to focus on your personal relationship with Christ Jesus.

But why and how is a relationship with Jesus important for improving my marriage?

The truth is, we are all sinners.

We are all imperfect.

We are all flawed.

In other words, regardless of how great we think we are, we will bring flaws into our relationships.

And….unfortunately, we are often blind to those flaws.

When we are blind to those flaws, our partner suffers.

A ongoing relationship with Jesus helps us ‘turn the lights on’ to our sin.

Then, we have an opportunity to change for the better. (sanctification)

It won’t be easy.

And it won’t feel good.

Deepening your faith and relying on the name of Jesus can provide strength and comfort during this challenging time.

By reading relevant Bible verses and meditating on God’s word, you can find solace and gain insights into how to navigate through the difficulties in your marriage.

Accountability plays a significant role in repairing a broken relationship.

Both partners should take responsibility for their actions and be willing to acknowledge their mistakes.

It is important to have open and honest communication, discussing the issues that led to the breakdown of the marriage.

Patience and grace are essential virtues when working towards reconciliation.

Healing a broken marriage takes time, and it is crucial to be patient with each other’s progress.

Remember that God’s love is unconditional, and by extending that same love to your spouse, you create an atmosphere of forgiveness and understanding.

Furthermore, selflessness is key in restoring a broken marriage.

It requires prioritizing the needs and desires of your spouse over your own.

By putting their well-being first, you demonstrate a genuine commitment to rebuilding trust and fostering intimacy.

It is worth emphasizing that fixing a broken marriage requires hard work from both parties involved.

While seeking God’s guidance and following biblical principles are essential, human beings are also called to take action.

Invest time and effort into counseling, attending marriage retreats or workshops, or seeking professional help if necessary.

In conclusion, fixing a broken marriage God’s way involves focusing on your relationship with God, practicing accountability, showing patience and grace, and embracing selflessness.

Remember that healing takes time, but by following these principles consistently, you can restore the love and harmony in your marriage.
